Where we work

Eight services, four of them with a page of their own. If you are not sure which your car needs, send photographs and we will tell you honestly — often it is less than people expect.

Most cars that come to us do not need the most expensive thing on the list. A full detail takes a well-used car back to clean and protects it for a season, and for a lot of people that is the whole job. Correction is for paint with swirls and wash marks you can see in daylight, and it is the one service where the honest answer is sometimes that a panel has nothing left to give.

Coating sits on top of correction rather than instead of it, because it locks in whatever is underneath for years. New-car protection is the same work in the right order, before the car has had a chance to pick up marks. All of it is carried out at the Green Lane unit — coatings need a sealed, lit bay and correction needs controlled light rather than daylight.

Stockport

Our own town. The unit is five minutes from the centre, and most cars booked in are local.

What we see here

Manchester

Twenty minutes up the A6. City cars, so more wash marks and kerbed wheels than anything else.

What we see here

Wilmslow

Fifteen minutes south. More coatings and PPF here than correction-only work.

What we see here

Cheadle & Cheadle Hulme

Ten minutes. Driveway-parked cars, usually booked well in advance.

What we see here

Didsbury

Street parking and tree cover, which is a bad combination for paint. Sap and bird mess damage.

What we see here

Altrincham

Twenty-five minutes across. Usually a full detail rather than a maintenance visit.

Travel times, honestly

Stockport is five minutes. Cheadle ten, Wilmslow fifteen, Manchester and Altrincham twenty to twenty-five depending on the M60. Those are door-to-door figures on a normal weekday, not best-case claims.

Nobody needs to make that journey twice, so anything booked gets a firm slot and a walk round the car before it goes in. If we think the work you have asked for is the wrong work, that conversation happens then rather than after.

Not listed? Ring and ask — the list is where cars actually come from, not a boundary.

One unit, not a mobile round

Correction work needs controlled light, a level floor and hours of uninterrupted time. None of that travels, which is why everything happens at the unit in Stockport rather than on a customer's driveway.

That makes the honest question not "do you cover my area" but "is the drive worth it for the work I want". For a maintenance wash, probably not. For correction, a coating or PPF, people travel from across Greater Manchester and have done for years.

What changes by area

Not the price — that is the job, not the postcode. What changes is what arrives. Street-parked city cars carry wash marks and kerbed wheels. Cars parked under trees in Didsbury come in with sap and bird-mess etching that has been sitting for weeks. Driveway cars from Cheadle are usually straighter but have months of neglected film.

The area pages say what we typically see from each, because knowing what is likely wrong before the car arrives is what lets us quote properly rather than guess.

Booking from further out

If you are travelling more than twenty minutes, book rather than turning up. Correction work is booked days ahead and there is rarely a slot on the day. It is a long way to come to be told to come back.
